Job description

BorgWarner is seeking a dynamic and results-driven IT Manager to lead IT operations and strategy across its Heidelberg and Arnstadt sites. This role acts as a bridge between business and IT, driving digital transformation, ensuring service excellence, and aligning technology initiatives with operational goals., * Strategic IT Planning: Translate site business goals into actionable IT initiatives following the global strategies.

  • Project Leadership: Lead and support local IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
  • Service Management: Oversee daily IT operations, system uptime, incident response, and SLA performance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop local IT technicians to ensure consistent service and technical growth.
  • Business Partnership: Gather and translate business requirements into IT solutions that add value.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage site-level IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement IT security protocols and manage change processes to ensure continuity.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years in IT, including 5+ years in management; automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Frameworks and Methodologies: Familiarity with ITIL, Agile/Scrum; certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: SAP ERP experience; knowledge of digital manufacturing (IoT, Industry 4.0, RPA).
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong business analysis, ROI development, and systems design skills.
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to lead teams and engage stakeholders.
  • Service Orientation: Experience with service management frameworks and vendor coordination.
