Job description
Shape the future of renewable energies with Asset Ocean GmbH! As a BI & Analytics Engineer, you are responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, business-aligned data models and consumption layers that empower stakeholders to derive insights. You work closely with internal teams to translate raw data into usable, validated, and documented structures. You are expected to operate independently, contribute to enablement efforts, and align technical delivery with business logic.
What you can expect:
- Build and maintain semantic models and consumption layers (e.g., dbt, SQL views)
- Translate business requirements into reusable logic and aggregations
- Create and optimize solutions and reporting applications based on Microsoft Power BI
- Debug and validate data flows, joins, and business logic
- Document data definitions, usage guides, and consumption best practices
- Support stakeholder enablement through training, feedback, and technical guidance
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to ensure smooth data delivery
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, * Work Independently: Take ownership of your tasks, deliver scoped work autonomously, keep stakeholders informed, and raise blockers early., * Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with Data Vault is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes (e.g., dbt or similar transformation frameworks).
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to interpret and integrate business logic across cross-functional domains (operations, trading, risk).
