Job description
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to support the development and evolution of our online customer portal on a fixed-term contract through to February 2027.
In this role, you'll focus on shaping the product backlog, prioritising features, and aligning development with business goals and customer needs. You'll work closely with the Head of Global Product Management, the development team, and key business stakeholders to ensure the portal delivers a seamless, value-driven experience for users.
You will take ownership of the feature backlog and ensure that user stories are clearly defined, prioritised, and ready for delivery to the development team., * Product Vision & Roadmap
- Support the product vision and strategy for the online customer portal.
- Translate business goals into clear, actionable features and user stories.
- Backlog Management & Refinement
- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects business priorities and customer needs.
- Lead backlog refinement sessions with the stakeholders and development team to clarify requirements and ensure user stories are delivery-ready.
- Prioritise features, enhancements, and technical improvements in alignment with strategic goals and available capacity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with stakeholders across business units to gather and evaluate feature requests.
- Communicate priorities, upcoming releases, and trade-offs clearly and effectively.
- Ensure transparency and alignment between business and technical teams.
- Delivery Alignment
- Collaborate with the development team to align backlog priorities with sprint planning and release timelines.Participate in testing, UAT, and acceptance of key deliverables to ensure quality and functional alignment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UX?, * Fluent business-level English (written and spoken) is required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a digital environment.
- Strong experience in backlog management, feature prioritisation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and Scrum practices.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with both technical and business audiences.
- Good understanding of UX/UI principles and digital user journey optimisation.
Desirable Skills
- Fluency in business-level German (written and spoken) is desirable.
- Certification as a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for backlog and delivery management.
- Experience working with Sitefinity or similar CMS platforms.
- Experience with self-service or B2B customer portals.
- Knowledge of analytics and performance measurement tools.Familiarity with accessibility and security best practices.
