Job description
As our Software Test Lead, you will own the strategy for testing our cloud-native SaaS applications and ensure they meet high standards of reliability, performance, and compliance. This is more than a testing role - you will be a strategic leader, shaping our QA processes, defining our technology stack, and pioneering the use of AI in our workflows. By mentoring a talented team of QA engineers and embedding quality into our CI/CD pipelines, you will directly impact the speed and confidence with which we deploy software that improves healthcare., Strategic Leadership
- You own and evolve test strategies, frameworks, and quality standards for cloud-based healthcare software
- You drive integration of AI and automation into testing workflows to improve efficiency and coverage
- You serve as quality advocate in architecture decisions, risk assessments, and release planningYou collaborate closely with development, operations, product, and quality management teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC
Team Development
- You lead, coach, and grow QA/Test engineers; run 1:1s, feedback, and development plans; set clear goals and review performanceYou foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement across engineering teams
Operational Excellence
- You own and optimize test processes, including automation, manual testing, and CI/CD integration
- You establish metrics, reporting and quality gates that enable frequent, reliable deploymentsYou ensure comprehensive test documentation, defect tracking, and transparent status reporting across projects
Requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in software testing (manual and automated), ideally in healthcare or regulated environments
- Strong background in cloud-based SaaS testing (performance, smoke, canary and A/B releases, scalability)
- Familiarity with modern test tools, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g. Playwright, GoLang test runner, SonarQube, Postman)
- Familiarity with relevant regulations in the healthcare industry is a plus (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, MDR, FHIR, etc.)
- Solid understanding of agile and DevSecOps practicesAbility to work in interdisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities, * You are a proactive, results-oriented personality with strong problem-solving skills
- You excel at building relationships and collaborating across distributed, multidisciplinary teams
- You are self-motivated and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- You possess a passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and grow
- You stay productive and capable of acting even in critical situationsYou communicate fluently in English. It would be a plus if you have knowledge in German
