DevOps Engineer (Cloud/Hybrid)

containerized multi-cloud/hybrid cloud/on-premises runtime environments that support Siemens Mobility Railigent X products and services. The employee will work with an international team of experts to deliver a global, scalable, cost-efficient, highly available on-premises/hybrid-cloud platform that meets changing business needs. Responsibilities * Define, plan, implement, and operate automated infrastructure deployments at scale. * Support application product development teams to adapt their AWS cloud-based applications for the new hybrid-cloud platform. * Create and maintain IaaS environments on premise and in the cloud, meeting SLAs and serving development, QA and customer value realization teams. * Enable CI/CD, ensure compliance and best practice standards, and maintain thorough documentation. * Participate in proof-of-concepts and first-of-its-kind activities to validate product concepts. Applicant Profile * Experience supporting distributed business applications in an

enterprise, agile environment. * Proactive and dynamic problem solver with strong DevOps, cloud and hybrid-cloud experience. * Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with colleagues and internal teams. * Ability to adapt and optimize processes for enhanced team productivity. * Excellent English skills; German skills beneficial. * Experience developing CI/CD pipelines, containerized services, and automating processes. * Experience in Platform Engineering, designing/building toolchains/workflows for software engineering. * Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) are highly valued. * Experience with SaaS backends, REST APIs, and broad cloud deployments. * Familiarity with databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc.). * University degree in computer science or related field. Essential Skills * Strong knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, CNCF, Linux, and open-source ecosystems. * AWS services experience. * Hands-on experience with ELK stack. * Automation tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, GitLab. * Programming/scripting: Python, Bash/sh. * Designing and implementing GitOps processes. Nice-to-Have Skills * System automation for scalable environments. * Experience with CI/testing, preferably GitLab-CI. * Identity and Access Management protocols (SAML V2, OIDC) and IDPs (KeyCloak, Auth0, OKTA). * MLOps/LLMOps experience. * Programming in Java, JavaScript or Go.
