Senior Software Engineer

This is a unique engineering opportunity where the Senior Software Engineer will join a newly formed team responsible for investigating, assessing, and integrating cutting-edge AI tools across a European-wide software engineering delivery function.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be expected to use your breadth of experience and knowledge to make objective assessments of what and how AI coding tools should be integrated into the organisation's software engineering best practices.

The team currently use AI coding tools and builds software artefacts to ensure maximum efficiencies and quality are realised throughout every aspect of software engineering.

Candidates should have a passion for AI code tools and be prepared to analyse, investigate and recommend fit-for-purpose AI tooling and integrations, given in-flight project and team needs.

Suitable candidates will have:

• a strong engineering background
• expert in Python , Java or C++ engineering
• a keen interest in Machine Learning, NLP, algorithm development, and AI model tuning
• You will be highly experienced in Agile delivery, CI/CD
• Experience in using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Github Copilot, Claudecode and other AI tools used for coding, pair programming, debugging, testing, maintenance, etc is highly desirable

This position is based in Barcelona with 2-3 days per week required in the office.

The position can be offered on a permanent or contract basis (Autonomo basis) at either €50-60,000 per annum or approx. €400-€450 per day .
