Job description

At IDENER.AI, we are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to bolster our collaborative research team's effectiveness. In this pivotal role, your primary responsibilities will include streamlining the deployment of research updates, swiftly diagnosing and rectifying production issues, and crafting integrations tailored to the unique demands of our research projects. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work as you partner intimately with researchers, developers, and IT personnel, ensuring that code releases and deployments are executed flawlessly, contributing to the seamless progression of our research endeavors. Responsibilities

  • Proficient in managing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and cloud services.
  • Knowledgeable in various databases, including SQL and NoSQL, as well as data storage solutions.
  • Skilled in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and configuration tasks.
  • Experienced in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Adept at network protocols and implementing security best practices within a DevOps context.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • High proficiency in English, covering comprehension, conversation, and writing.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in interpreting complex data for actionable insights.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary groups and juggle multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the aptitude to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Positively Appreciated

  • Experience with GitOps practices and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux) for managing Kubernetes and infrastructure deployments.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance checks, and least-privilege principles.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure), including services for computer, storage, networking, and IAM.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Loki, etc.) to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with hands-on experience using Terraform for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure safely and efficiently.
