Sr. Software Engineer Go, Virtualization Join to apply for the Sr. Software Engineer Go, Virtualization role at SUSE Job Description We are looking for a Virtualization Software Engineer (Kubevirt) to develop, maintain and support our SUSE KVM Virtualization stack (KVM hypervisor, linux kernel, kubevirt, libvirt, QEMU, libguestfs), and specifically the Kubevirt component, delivering to SUSE Linux Enterprise and SUSE Rancher products. Your Responsibilities * Improve the virtualization technology upstream, collaborate in the upstream communities * Develop and integrate features downstream, contribute to the build process * Debug our KVM stack in response to bug reports * Draft and execute simple test plans for features and performance About You * Linux experience in the area of Containers is Required * Full proficiency with Linux, git and Golang is Required * Experience in reproducing, analyzing and resolving software bugs is Required * Existing experience with Kubevirt is a Big plus * Proven track record of working in upstream projects is a Big plus * Knowledge in the area of KVM virtualization is a Plus * Knowledge of Kubernetes is a Plus * Experience in one or more CPU architectures is a Plus * Additional programming languages are good to have * Able to collaborate within a very distributed international team across timezones * Able to pursue high level goals independently, self-driven and motivated, flexible responding to change * Fluent in English What You Need to Do Now If you're interested, click Apply now to upload your up-to-date CV in English.
