Cloud Platform Engineer - Go/Kubernetes

Cloud-Native Developer (Go / Kubernetes) - 2 year contract - Central Europe We are seeking a Cloud-Native Developer to design, build, and maintain production-grade software components within a Kubernetes-based infrastructure platform. The role involves backend development in Go, extending Kubernetes functionality, and contributing to automation and observability tooling. We're looking for people based in Central Europe for this one. Western European countries will unfortunately not be able to apply. This is a 2 year contract on a remote basis. Responsibilities: * Develop backend services and infrastructure tools using Golang * Extend Kubernetes via CRDs and Operators * Debug Kubernetes components and distributed systems * Implement observability features (metrics, logging, health checks) * Manage service monitors and alerts using Prometheus * Build CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows * Automate infrastructure using Helm, Kustomize, and Terraform * Maintain documentation

and participate in code reviews * Support bug fixes, incidents, and ticket resolution Requirements: * 3+ years of Golang development experience * Understanding of microservices and distributed systems * Familiarity with Prometheus, OpenSearch, and observability tools * Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation * Strong Git and collaborative development skills * Proficient English communication skills Preferred: * Experience with Kubernetes control plane and operator development * CKAD or CKA certification * Familiarity with container/cloud security * Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenStack * SQL/MariaDB experience * Open-source contributions Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
