In ARQUIMEA AEROSPACE DEFENCE & SECURITY develops safer and more reliable defense systems through technology, including unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), sensing systems, command and control software, and aiming systems. The Embedded Systems Engineer will test, verify, and manage the quality and safety of the developed embedded software and hardware solutions for autopilot systems, airborne electronics, and ground support systems used in UAV development. The role focuses on enhancing the quality and reliability of the UAV control, navigation, and communication capabilities while ensuring system reliability and efficiency. This position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop and test real-time systems that meet operational and performance requirements for UAV applications. Responsibilities * Design, develop, and execute firmware tests to ensure product quality and functionality for UAV autopilot, airborne and ground systems. * Perform verification and validation (V&V) of firmware systems and components. * Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software integration and delivery process. * Develop and execute unit tests to validate code functionality. * Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve firmware issues. * Document test results and provide detailed reports. * Work closely with hardware, software, and aerospace engineers to ensure smooth integration and system performance. * Support field operations, flight tests, and troubleshooting of airborne and ground systems. * Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software and hardware solutions for autopilot systems, airborne electronics, and ground support systems used in UAV development. * Enhance UAV control

Requirements * Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field. * Experience: 2-5 years in embedded systems development, with a focus on UAV systems or aerospace applications; real-time embedded software and hardware integration; control systems design and sensor integration; experience with flight control systems or autonomous systems is desirable. * Knowledge: V&V methodologies; testing tools (Vector Cast, cppcheck, Code Sonar); CI/CD pipelines; unit testing; programming in C, C++, Python; microcontroller platforms (ARM Cortex-M, STM32); Embedded Linux; debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, emulators); Git and CI/CD workflows; UAV autopilot systems and frameworks (PX4, ArduPilot); ground control stations (QGroundControl, Mission Planner); ARP4754A, MIL-STD882, DO-178, AOP-52. Location The position is located at our Headquarters in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
