Job description
As a Data Scientist within the Technology Business Unit and the Digital Department at IBA, your mission is to help our business teams by providing insights, predictive models and data-driven solutions leveraging statistical analysis and artificial intelligence. You will also contribute to R&D projects such as physics-informed AI and predictive maintenance, while embedding data science into operational processes. Challenges we trust you with
- Lead data science projects from exploration to deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and business teams to identify opportunities
- Build predictive models and assess data quality
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights clearly
- Contribute to R&D initiatives in physics-informed AI and predictive maintenance
- Stay up to date with trends in AI, statistics, and modelling
- Support IBA's digital transformation through data-driven solutions
Requirements
Do you have experience in Spark?, * At least 3 years as a Data Scientist or relevant experience
- Strong foundation in Python
- Expertise in physics
- Experience working in an R&D or academic environment
- End-to-end ML project experience including problem scoping, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring
- Strong foundation in statistics and AI, through education or experience
- Motivated to find business value in advanced physics innovation
- Strong communicator that can describe complex topics in a simple way
- Fluent in English, French is a plus
Nice to have:
- Experience with Databricks and Spark
- Experience with NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo, DeepXDE or similar software
