Job description

As a Data Scientist within the Technology Business Unit and the Digital Department at IBA, your mission is to help our business teams by providing insights, predictive models and data-driven solutions leveraging statistical analysis and artificial intelligence. You will also contribute to R&D projects such as physics-informed AI and predictive maintenance, while embedding data science into operational processes. Challenges we trust you with

  • Lead data science projects from exploration to deployment and monitoring
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and business teams to identify opportunities
  • Build predictive models and assess data quality
  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights clearly
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives in physics-informed AI and predictive maintenance
  • Stay up to date with trends in AI, statistics, and modelling
  • Support IBA's digital transformation through data-driven solutions

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spark?, * At least 3 years as a Data Scientist or relevant experience

  • Strong foundation in Python
  • Expertise in physics
  • Experience working in an R&D or academic environment
  • End-to-end ML project experience including problem scoping, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring
  • Strong foundation in statistics and AI, through education or experience
  • Motivated to find business value in advanced physics innovation
  • Strong communicator that can describe complex topics in a simple way
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Databricks and Spark
  • Experience with NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo, DeepXDE or similar software
