Job description
As a System and Application Engineer in the IPS team, you will play a key role in enabling successful design-in of Renesas products. You will develop reference designs, support customers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Design, simulate, optimize and validate inductive position sensor modules.
- Provide technical support to customers from concept and debugging to prototype.
- Perform measurements and tests using lab equipment and test benches.
- Create PCB layouts for sensor demonstrators (experience in Altium is mandatory).
- Prepare technical documentation (application notes, design guides).
- Develop and maintain software tools for demonstrators and production programmers.
- Support simulation of inductive sensor elements using an in-house tool.
- Work closely with Product Management and Marketing.
- Participate in customer meetings and occasional business trips.
- Contribute to new feature development and continuous improvement., We have adopted a hybrid model that gives employees the ability to work remotely two days a week while ensuring that we come together as a team in the office the rest of the time. The designated in-office days are Tuesday through Thursday for innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
Requirements
Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as Application Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency inPCB design and layout; Altium experience is mandatory.
- Comfortable in using electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators).
- Experienced in soldering (SMT and THT)
- Programming skills in C/C++, Python, LabVIEW
- 3D design experience is an advantage (Solid Works)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

- Experience in automotive or industrial sensor applications.
- Understanding of functional safety requirements.
- Agile mindset and proactive information sharing.
