Job description
We are opening a Core Infrastructure Engineer position to strengthen our client's team based in Geneva. The role focuses on providing comprehensive on-site support for datacenter environments, including physical maintenance, incident handling, service transition coordination, and performance monitoring. The selected candidate will also contribute to the stabilization and industrialization of infrastructure solutions throughout their lifecycle., * Ensure stable datacenter operations through proactive and reactive maintenance as well as structured incident management.
- Support the introduction and Go-Live phases of new services and participate in change and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Apply operational procedures, perform daily health checks, execute updates, and carry out standard hardware servicing.
- Collaborate closely with internal technical units and external providers to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation, including reports on system capacity and availability.
- Detect and document infrastructure issues, propose corrective measures, and contribute to long-term improvements.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours support when operational needs require it.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Certification or equivalent experience in VMware VCP-DCV, Commvault Command Center/CommCell Console, CDCP, and Hitachi HNAS/HCP/OpsCenter.
- MCSA certification or equivalent practical experience.
- ITIL training and good knowledge of ITSM practices.
- Strong command of English and French.
- 5-10 years of professional experience, including significant exposure to datacenter hardware operations.
- Solid understanding of datacenter infrastructure (cabling, racking, power, cooling), virtualization, storage, backup solutions, and automation/scripting.
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere 8.0, Commvault, Hitachi solutions, and hyperconverged environments is an asset.
- General knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, with Red Hat experience considered a plus.
