Job description

We are seeking a driven Electronics Engineer with proven hands-on experience in designing complex PCBs for robotics systems, for example, Agile One https://www.agile-robots.com/en/solutions/agile-one/

You will support the existing products and robotic systems to keep them operational at all times and develop new electronics for upcoming prototypes and oversee the production of your design with suppliers.

Success in this role requires both technical excellence and the ability to adapt and make decisions under uncertainty.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for complex robotic systems
  • Select and integrate electronic components (motors, drivers, sensors, power systems) for optimal performance
  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams for production
  • Develop and maintain electrical documentation (BOMs, test procedures, compliance reports)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in existing robotic systems
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software teams for system integration
  • Implement power distribution solutions for high-performance electromechanical systems
  • Design and validate safety circuits and fail-safe mechanisms
  • Support manufacturing team during production and assembly* Conduct signal integrity analysis and EMI/EMC mitigation

Requirements

Do you have experience in PCB?, * Strong expertise in motor control systems (BLDC)

  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium)
  • Experience with embedded systems design (microcontrollers, FPGAs)
  • Knowledge of power electronics (DC/DC converters, battery management)
  • Familiarity with sensor integration (encoders, force/torque, IMUs, vision systems)
  • Understanding of communication protocols (ethercat, CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C)
  • Experience with harness design and cable management for moving systems
  • Ability to perform signal analysis and debugging (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
  • Knowledge of safety standards for high-voltage and high-current applications
  • Experience with thermal management of power electronics, * Background in designing electrical systems for articulated mechanisms
  • Experience with real-time control systems and feedback loops
  • Familiarity with lightweight power solutions for mobile applications
  • Knowledge of wireless power and data transmission and charging systems
  • Experience with failure mode analysis and reliability testing, * Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Self-motivated with a passion for cutting-edge robotics technology
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on robust system design
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced development cycle
