Job description

We are looking for an experienced Informatica PowerCenter Developer to join our team supporting a major banking client in Zurich. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ETL development, data integration, and performance optimization within complex and regulated financial environments., * Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter (Mappings, Workflows, Sessions, Schedules).

  • Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and downstream system owners to translate business requirements into robust data integration solutions.
  • Optimize existing mappings and workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Perform impact analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and handle root-cause analysis in coordination with support teams.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and security standards within the banking domain.
  • Support migration initiatives, version upgrades, and integration with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
  • Prepare documentation, technical design specifications, and operational guides.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scrum?, * 4+ years of hands-on experience as an Informatica PowerCenter Developer.

  • Strong knowledge of ETL development, data warehousing concepts, and relational database design.
  • Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning on large datasets.
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Excellent understanding of batch processes, scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys), and data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills (English required; German is an advantage).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Informatica PowerExchange, metadata manager, or data quality tools.
  • Exposure to cloud migrations or modern data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
