Collaborate in a Cross-Functional Team - working with frontend engineers, PMs, designers, and QA to deliver seamless financial experiences.

Participate in Product Planning - contribute to discovery, scoping, technical design, and deployment.

Develop and Enhance Features - build robust APIs, workflows, and fintech capabilities; fix bugs at "Deel Speed."

Deliver Customer-Centric Engineering - ensure reliability, clarity, and excellent user experience.

Solve Complex Fintech Problems - build ledger-driven systems across payments, payroll, treasury, and compliance.

Build for Scale - design services handling high-volume, multi-currency transactions with safety, concurrency, and idempotency.

Web3 / On-Chain Financial Infrastructure You will help lay the foundation for Deel's future on-chain capabilities, including:
-
Enable on-chain payroll & settlements using stablecoins and trust-minimized flows.

Integrate APIs from leading Web3 partners (custodians, on/off-ramps, networks, compliance vendors).

Contribute to smart contracts that power real financial operations (escrow, payouts, invoicing, treasury automation).

Work with modern blockchain dev stacks: Ethereum, Solidity, Truffle/Hardhat, L1/L2 frameworks (Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Optimism, etc.)

Design hybrid Web2 Web3 architectures connecting Deel's ledger, banking rails, and chain-based flows.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TypeScript?, * Professional experience in fintech or financial systems: payments, banking, accounting, exchanges, payroll, or crypto.
- Experience working in or building systems for companies like Wise, PayPal, Stripe, Adyen, Coinbase, Revolut, etc.
- Proficiency in Node.js & TypeScript, plus at least one additional backend language.
- Deep SQL expertise (PostgreSQL preferred): query performance, schema design, migrations.
- Strong foundation in OOP and design patterns.
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency and idempotent systems.
- API development expertise: validation, JWT auth, pagination, rate-limiting, event/queue-driven architectures.
- Experience in compliance-sensitive environments (KYC, AML, transaction monitoring).
- 4+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Solidity, smart contracts, Truffle/Hardhat, EVM development, or L1/L2 scaling frameworks.
- Built or integrated custodial wallets, exchanges, or on/off-ramp processes.
- Experience with treasury, FX, reconciliation, or accounting systems.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda).
- Worked on SaaS platforms operating 24/7 at large scale.
- Exposure to SOC2 / SOX controls and audit-driven systems.
