United States European Command (EUCOM) is seeking a skilled and mission-driven GIS Engineer / System Administrator to support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of multiple Esri Enterprise environments across classified and unclassified networks. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of GIS services and infrastructure that directly support EUCOM operations, planning, and intelligence functions., * Design, deploy, and maintain multiple ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store) environments across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS or other compartmentalized networks.
- Configure high-availability, load-balanced server clusters to meet mission-critical uptime and performance requirements.
- Integrate ArcGIS Enterprise with other DoD tools and data services including Maven Smart Systems, SharePoint Online.
- Administer Windows Server environments and perform regular maintenance, patching, and updates to ArcGIS and supporting services (SQL Server, IIS, etc.).
- Monitor system health, logs, and service performance; proactively resolve issues and optimize system performance.
- Maintain and manage SSL certificates, firewall rules, reverse proxies, DNS records, and Active Directory integration for Esri environments.
- Ensure all GIS systems comply with DoD cybersecurity policies (e.g., STIGs, RMF, HBSS, ACAS).
- Manage hosted feature layers, map services, and automated publishing processes for time-sensitive operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including geospatial analysts, IT security, intelligence, and operations personnel to support mission objectives.
- Support exercise and real-world operations requiring GIS service uptime and adaptability.
- Required to be part of the Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) and maintain Continuity of Operations (COOP) in a time of need. This includes movement to alternate locations to perform duties as required.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VMware?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, As part of a dynamic geospatial and IT operations team, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Esri Enterprise architecture, system administration, and multi-network deployment strategies in a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment., * Active Top Secret//SCI clearance required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration and enterprise GIS deployment. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Geography, Geospatial Information Science, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience managing ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including Portal, ArcGIS Server, Data Store, and Web Adaptor.
- Experience working in DoD or IC environments, especially with multi-network (air-gapped) architectures.
- Strong proficiency with Linux, Windows Server, PowerShell, and command-line administration.
- Experience with SQL Server or enterprise geodatabases.
- Familiarity with SSL/TLS, reverse proxies, load balancers, and DNS as they relate to Esri deployments.
- Understanding of Active Directory integration, including SSO and user/group management.
- Familiar with RMF, DISA STIGs, and other cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification

- Esri Enterprise Administration Professional or Associate certification
- Microsoft or VMware certifications are a plus.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $90,300 - 189,600 USD
