Job description
- Monitor systems from the virtualization layer to the application server layer, carrying out system administration activities and regular tasks.
- Working independently, under pressure, focused on objectives and meeting deadlines.
- Solving problems by making decisive decisions based on risk assessment.
- Design platforms based on functional requirements, availability needs, data volumes, and number of users.
- Collaborate and participate in projects related to the design, implementation and operation of big data and analytics platforms.
- Provide support to teams and develop scripts for monitoring and automating tasks.
- Demonstrate experience in big data technologies and the ability to quickly learn new tools.
- Maintain a responsible, analytical approach committed to confidentiality and quality in deliverables.
Requirements
Do you have experience in vSphere?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the IT industry.
- Strong experience in Linux operating system administration (Red Hat family).
- Strong experience installing, managing and operating two or more of the following technologies: SuSE Rancher and Kubernetes clusters, Elasticsearch, Cloudera Private Cloud Platform Hadoop components (Hadoop, Yarn, HBase, Impala, etc.), VMware vSphere virtualization platforms.
- Knowledge or experience in high availability solutions, load balancers, relational databases (PostgreSQL), monitoring systems (Nagios), automation and deployment tools.
- Basic knowledge of networks, firewalls, SAN storage and hardware with x86 architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Benefits & conditions
- Monday to Thursday split shift, and Friday intensive shift. Summer also has intensive shifts.
- The work arrangement will be hybrid; you will have to go to the client's headquarters in Canillas - Madrid, either for 2 full days or 3 mornings a week.
