Tech Lead Laravel / React- Valencia (Hybrid)

You will be the first permanent engineering hire in Spain. You'll lead a small senior team, work closely with Product and AI teams and shape the foundation of this new hub. This is a role involves coding and some leadership., * Lead technical delivery within 6-week agile cycles (Shape-Up)

• Architect and develop solutions across Laravel (PHP 8+) and React/TypeScript
• Oversee AWS infrastructure, GitLab CI/CD, and platform performance
• Mentor engineers in your team
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and AI teams to bring validated workflows into production
• Drive pragmatic delivery: ship, validate, refactor
• Reports directly to the CPO (based in Amsterdam)
• Occasional travel to Amsterdam for alignment with the global team.

Do you have experience in S3?, * 8+ years in software engineering with proven team leadership

• Strong experience in Laravel/PHP and React
• Solid understanding of cloud and DevOps practices (AWS, CI/CD)
• Startup or scale-up mindset, product-oriented, fluent English

Tech Stack Laravel (PHP 8+), React, TypeScript, AWS (EC2, RDS, S3), GitLab CI/CD, REST APIs, Metabase

• Experience with workflow-based AI tools (n8n or similar)
• Data engineering or BI integration
• Experience building or scaling engineering teams
