Senior Data Engineer

As our new Senior Data Engineer , you will be responsible for delivering high-quality data solutions that support Risk & Compliance processes. You'll oversee project timelines, manage team capacity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. Your role combines technical leadership with strategic alignment, ensuring data platforms meet security, scalability, and regulatory standards.

You will report to Team Leader Risk & Compliance IT .

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of data projects on time and within budget.
• Monitor and manage team capacity for optimal resource allocation.
• Provide technical leadership and enforce best practices in coding and architecture.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Work closely with Risk & Compliance teams to align solutions with business needs.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive management.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, security, and compliance.

Do you have experience in Scalability?, Do you have a Master's degree?, The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple teams and geographies. Aside from being a seasoned data engineer, you have the interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives., You will have relevant experience in a similar role, preferably holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and:

• 8+ years of experience in data platforms and business intelligence, especially in cloud ecosystems.
• Proven track record of leading data teams and delivering complex projects.
• Deep knowledge of Risk & Compliance processes and regulations.
• Expertise in ELT flows using PySpark (Databricks), Scala, SQL, and Python.
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD and GIT.
• Familiarity with Azure environments (Databricks, ADF, ADLS) is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
