Job description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst and Data Visualization Engineer to support the development of our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) portfolio. Our products include data and video analytics platforms for traffic management and tolling, an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) engine, and stereo vision cameras for vehicle classification. In this role, you will work with large and complex datasets to extract insights that drive innovation, optimize system performance, and inform product decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including software engineering, AI/ML, and product management - and build dashboards to visualize key performance indicators for real-time monitoring and decision support.
- Generate actionable insights from large datasets to improve traffic and tolling solutions.
- Design and build dashboards (e.g., in Qlik, Power BI) to visualize complex data and support real-time operational decisions.
- Work with engineering and product teams to develop user-centric analytics features (e.g., alert systems, operator dashboards).
- Analyze traffic sensor data to optimize tolling accuracy and reduce misclassification and revenue loss.
- Identify patterns and trends from traffic data to support new use cases, such as congestion prediction or adaptive signaling.
- Monitor AI model performance and support ongoing model retraining and customization across varying environments.
- Use predictive analytics to anticipate traffic bottlenecks, optimize toll operations, and improve safety.
- Support regulatory compliance by automating reporting processes and ensuring data integrity.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Shell Scripting?, * Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and columnar databases.
- Solid understanding of dimensional data models (star/snowflake schemas).
- Experience with Python and SQL for data manipulation and extraction
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Bash, Gitlab/Github, Cloud Computing
- Proficiency in QLIK Sense, Power BI or similar dashboard tools.
- Experience working with large datasets ("big data") in operational environments.
- Analytical mindset and solution driven personality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- You practice and live the agile mindset
- Good oral and written English and Spanish
- Experience in treating with customers
- Presentations skills
Nice to have:
- Experience in tolling or traffic management is a plus.
- Experience with traffic related models like DATEX2, SIRI, GTFS, MDS, etc.
- Experience with traffic simulators like SUMO, Aimsun, PTV Vissim/Vissum
