Job description
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to drive technical implementation of core GenAI testing & validation systems. You will partner with Principal Engineers, SDMs, TPMs, scientists and peer SDEs to define architecture, build components, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions. You will be a technical leader for your team and help mentor other SDEs., * Architect, design, and implement major features or subsystems in automated testing / validation using GenAI.
- Dive deep into technical details: high performance, reliability, security, scalability. Ensure systems can handle large scale usage / production load.
- Collaborate with product / science / other engineering to define requirements, propose technical solutions, estimate complexity, trade offs.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers; do code reviews; propose architectural improvements; raise technical standards.
- Participate in design & architecture reviews; influence platform and framework decisions.
- Ensure operational excellence: monitoring, metrics, CI/CD, incident handling; drive continuous improvements.
- Balance delivery vs. technical debt; make thoughtful trade offs.

Requirements
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in development in the last 3 years, Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
