Unix & Cloud Data Support Engineer (ETL / AWS / Java Debugging/ SPAIN)

We're seeking a skilled Unix & Cloud Data Support Engineer to join the application development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Unix system administration, a solid understanding of cloud-based data services (especially AWS), and hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and production support. This role plays a key part in ensuring reliable ingestion, transformation and delivery of data from multiple global sources, supporting production environments, and collaborating with international teams to maintain a critical financial data platform., * Administer and support Unix/Linux-based environments hosting data processing and integration services.

• Operate and maintain ETL pipelines, integrating data from multiple systems into centralized databases, data warehouses, or data lakes.
• Perform log analysis, debugging, and root cause investigations in real-time production systems.
• Support services hosted in AWS, including resource, process, and file management.
• Utilize SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Collaborate with global development and support teams across AMERS and Europe, particularly during peak Europe business hours.
• Contribute to final testing and stabilization phases of a multi-year development effort preparing for full production release.

• 4-6 years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration or production support.
• Practical knowledge of Unix commands (file manipulation, process management, text processing, system monitoring).
• Ability to efficiently navigate Linux environments, manage files/directories, and perform operations from the command line.
• Experience with SQL and SQL query writing.
• Strong log analysis, root cause analysis, and debugging skills.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud environments (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
