Job description
As a Senior Backend Engineer you will play a critical role in designing and developing backend systems that support IoT devices, leveraging modern DevOps practices. You will work with cutting-edge technologies in Azure cloud infrastructure and a microservices architecture, building solutions that protect the lives and homes of our customers. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager., * Strengthening and supporting the development team, building software that helps to protect the lives and homes of our customers
- Writing clean, scalable code using C# .NET Core
- Writing code and develop according to business and user needs
- Evaluating new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security and metrics
- Remaining up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding
- Writing unit and integration tests to cover functionality and reduce regressions
- Mentoring junior developers and new team members
- Coordinating with product owners, developers and architects

Requirements
Do you have experience in Test automation?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Relevant BSc or MSc is preferred, applicable senior experience may compensate for lack of formal background
- 5-7 years of experience as a Backend Developer
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
- Thorough experience with microservices and APIs (REST and event-based)
- Azure experience with managing WebAPIs, containers, and web applications.
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies
- Experience with SQL and no SQL
- Skilled in automation and integration testing.
- Fast ability to learn new systems and software value chains
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- You must identify yourself with our core values; willing to improve, goal oriented, customer focused and reliable
- A valid work permit in the EU
