Job description
- Lead your team in executing organizational and team roadmaps, focusing on automation goals.

- Regularly review key performance metrics, to ensure the team's efforts align with overarching business objectives, fostering a results-driven environment.
- Identifying successes and areas for improvement, ensuring your teams are well-prepared for launch challenges and opportunities.
- This position may involve On-call responsibility, you will be required to drive escalation calls.
Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Candidate must be a national of an EU member state and residing in the EU to operate the AWS European Sovereign Cloud.
- Amazon will provide relocation support for successful applicants relocating within the European Union.
- Employees will participate in an On-Call rota., This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated Software Development or Systems experience (including hands-on development work and object-oriented design), plus proven track record of high-scale hiring and talent management across teams of multiple disciplines/job families.
- Systems engineering experience (e.g., virtualization, hardware design, operating system tuning), experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations., Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong engineering fundamentals (networking, network services, operating systems)
- Leading development life cycle processes and best practices, especially in the areas of deployment automation and monitoring
- Strong program and product management skills.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale, including AWS platforms, services and design patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership, including an ability to promote operational excellence.
