Job description
As an Engineering Manager , your mission will be to work on building and maintaining the common building blocks of our system with a "Platform as a Product" mindset. You will be working in a feature team developing the core libraries that underpin our entire frontend architecture.
Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be directly in charge of a team of full-stack engineers with a strong frontend focus
- Manage and grow the performance and career of your team
- Ensure business objectives are met as a team, by driving performance of each team member
- Set the roadmap for your team, and be the end-to-end owner of the team's production, quality, and delivery
- Participate in code reviews and be hands-on if required

- Our solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to the country and healthcare specialty requirements. Requirements
- You have 4+ years of people management experience with an engineering team
- You have a significant experience with our Frontend stack: we use React and TypeScript, with Ruby on Rails/Java backends
- You have the ability to adapt to the most efficient technologies to solve issues
- You have proven experiences developing efficient, maintainable and secure products
- You are comfortable speaking English in your day-to-day work with the team
Now it would be fantastic if you:
- You have experience building libraries and toolings to other engineers
- You have a great understanding of JS/TS building and packaging processes
- You have a great understanding of web application performance tuning
