Job description
As a Fullstack Engineer at Kiln, you will join our Software Development Team, to build the future of our SaaS/API-first products [https://docs.kiln.fi/v1/]. You will report to our Lead Software Engineer, and collaborate with the Product, Infrastructure and Smart-Contract teams to work on the various products that Kiln offers., * Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
- Be an active contributor within the Fullstack squad owning Kiln user-facing products (Dashboard, Widget).
- Design, develop and implement new features :
- 70% frontend (e.g. using our design system to build new features or adding new components to it…).
- 30% backend (e.g. implement the transaction crafting part for a new protocol…).
- Participate in code review, test and CI/CD processes, bug fixing, and code maintenance.
- Interact with customers for debugging purposes and product discovery.
- Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company).
- Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices.
- Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges.
Stack: TypeScript, React, PHP/Laravel, REST API
Other engineering stacks: Software (Golang); Smart contract (Solidity); Infrastructure (Kubernetes)
Requirements
Do you have experience in TypeScript?, * +3 years of experience as Fullstack Engineer, designing, building, and deploying user-facing API-based products.
- Proven TypeScript and React programming skills - professional experience in a production environment.
- +1 year of Web3 experience, building dApps using libraries such as Wagmi and Viem.
- Familiar with software development best practices (Test, CI/CD, DevOps, Security…).
- Previous experience collaborating in a team-based development environment (sprints, code reviews, standups, problem-solving sessions).
- Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through.
- Ability to balance between impact and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven interest in Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency - with solid understanding of protocols, staking, and DeFi.
- Fluent in English.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiar with Ethereum Virtual Machine and smart contracts.
- Knowledge on how to craft raw blockchain transactions.
- Backend PHP/Laravel programming skills.
- Experience in a fast-growing, early-stage startup.
