Job description
We are seeking an expert Azure Cloud Engineer for a high-impact professional engagement with a leading industry client's platform team. This role is centered on transforming the client's Azure infrastructure into a highly compliant, scalable, and secure environment. Your primary goal is to enhance core Azure processes, compliance, and automation capabilities by establishing robust policy enforcement and template standardization. You will serve as a vital contributor, working collaboratively to achieve critical milestones, guide technical direction, and report directly to the Product Owner and Lead Engineer., * Policy Enforcement: Design, configure, and maintain robust Azure Policies and Initiatives to strictly enforce security, compliance, and operational standards across all infrastructure.
- Compliance Remediation: Proactively monitor and execute necessary remediation actions to ensure continuous compliance across the Azure landscape.
- CI/CD Pipeline Design: Build and maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for end-to-end automation of CI/CD processes and configurations.
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Develop and manage standardized ARM and Bicep templates for repeatable and secure Azure resource deployments.
- Automation: Write detailed PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks and strengthen IT controls.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with architects and delivery teams to ensure all automation efforts align perfectly with platform standards.
- Quality Assurance: Rigorously validate, test, and document all solutions before deployment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Security?, You are an accountable, analytical, and proactive engineer known for driving technical excellence and delivering practical solutions efficiently., * Expertise: Proven background in Microsoft Azure platform architecture, automated infrastructure deployment, and policy-driven platform management.
- Azure Policy: Comprehensive, practical knowledge of Azure's mechanism for policy creation, grouping (Initiatives), and compliance resolution processes.
- Azure DevOps: Extensive history leveraging Azure DevOps Services, particularly skilled in defining CI/CD workflows using YAML for continuous delivery.
- IaC Mastery: Masterful deployment skills using ARM and Bicep scripting for declaring and managing resources.
- Scripting: Advanced skill set in PowerShell scripting for routine task execution and control enforcement.
- Cloud Observability: Working familiarity with security posture tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud, monitoring solutions like Azure Monitor, and generating compliance reports., * Experience Level: A minimum of 3 years to 5 years of professional involvement in Azure platform construction or dedicated DevOps functions is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Possession of current Microsoft technical certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305) is seen as a strong asset.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Prior work history within industries subject to stringent regulatory or auditing mandates (e.g., SOx, ISAE, DORA) is advantageous.
- Language: Fluency in English (both communication and writing) is mandatory; being a native speaker of Dutch is strongly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding problem-solving acumen, superior solution documentation capabilities, and a commitment to team-based collaboration are key traits.
