Job description
As a Senior Platform Architect, you'll design and define the next generation of Vanderlande's global logistics systems-focusing on our world-leading warehousing solutions. You'll turn business goals into technical realities by translating ideas into system requirements and platform architectures.
Working with Product Managers and teams across Services and Operations, you'll shape robust, scalable solutions that support our "configure-to-order" approach. Within our Development Center Warehousing, you'll help deliver the technology foundation that powers future innovations worldwide.
Your Responsibilities
You'll own the platform architecture-ensuring new features and pilot deployments fit seamlessly into the overall system. You'll define architectural principles and guide development teams to apply them consistently.
You'll evaluate new features, decompose them into modules, and maintain a clear overview of the system's behavior. Acting as a technical leader, you'll translate business and technology roadmaps into practical evolution steps, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate architecture decisions across teams.
Cybersecurity knowledge and experience with automated logistics systems will help you excel in this role.
Requirements
You have a Bachelor's or Master's in IT and at least 10 years of relevant experience as a System or Solution Architect. You're skilled in modeling (SysML, BPMN) and ideally familiar with product platform architectures.
You bring structure to complex systems, lead teams with clarity, and communicate effectively. Experience in automated warehousing or parcel logistics is a plus. You enjoy working internationally and are open to limited travel (around 10%).
Benefits & conditions
This position offers a competitive salary range of € 7.100 to € 8.500 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale. On top of your fixed salary you'll receive the following secondary benefits:
- 40 vacation days (20 statutory days and a flexible budget worth 20 days).
- Flexible working hours.
- A hybrid workplace (40% working from home and 60% in the office).
- A Health & Wellbeing budget worth €300,- per calendar year.
- Commuting allowance, including full reimbursement of travel by public transport.
- Working from home allowance.
- Collective pension scheme and discount on additional health insurance.
- On-site company health centres with a gym, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
- Vanderlande Academy and training facilities to boost your skills.
- A variety in Vanderlande Network communities and initiatives.
