Job description
As Fleet Performance Engineer, you are responsible for monitoring, analysing and improving the operational performance and environmental efficiency of our vessels. The role combines technical understanding of ship systems with strong data analysis skills to support the company's decarbonization strategy and ensure compliance with evolving international regulations., * Monitoring and evaluating vessel performance based on high-frequency operational data.
- Identifying performance deviations of the hull, propeller or engines and proposing improvements.
- Performing detailed analyses of hull and propeller performance.
- Investigating and assessing energy-saving measures.
- Providing technical input for retrofit projects.
- Developing, maintaining and automating analytical tools and dashboards (mainly in Python and PySpark) to support fleet performance monitoring.
- Supporting and complying with existing and future environmental regulations (e.g. CII, EEXI, EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime).
- Providing data-driven insights and reports.
- Assessing and proposing energy-efficient retrofit options and operational improvement measures.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * MSc or BSc in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Solid understanding of marine propulsion and vessel performance principles.
- Experience with Python (PySpark, SQL or similar is a plus).
- Familiarity with IMO and EU regulations (CII, EEXI, ETS, FuelEU).
- Analytical mindset and practical approach to applying data insights.
- Experience with fleet monitoring tools or simulation data is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing (Dutch and English).
