Senior Data Engineer

You'll help shape the data engine behind one of the fastest-growing fintechs in the Netherlands. BridgeFund has proven the model works. Now we're scaling it, building systems that let us lend faster, smarter, and more responsibly. You'll join a small but growing product organization with two other Product Managers and two Designers, each owning a different stage of the lending journey, from first click to repayment. You'll report to Maarten, Manager Product, and work closely with the Head of Data to bring the data platform and product roadmap together. Expect weekly syncs with the Product team and daily contact with Data Engineering and Analytics. We love short cycles and tight feedback loops. You'll often be the bridge between Product, Risk, and Data, turning models into real customer impact. In your first months, you'll map what data lives where and bring clarity to what matters. Within a year, you'll have turned that into a roadmap that drives faster credit decisions, sharper portfolio insights, and better automation. You'll help shape our next-generation data platform, from credit scoring models and portfolio dashboards to the systems that power real-time lending. You'll make sure our models are not just smart but explainable, so we can lend fast and fair.

What your day to day will look like

• Define and deliver the data product strategy and roadmap across domains such as Lending, Funding, and Risk
• Prioritize initiatives, manage the backlog, and keep stakeholders aligned on progress and outcomes
• Translate business needs into data products that improve decisioning, automation, and insight generation
• Work with the Head of Data, Product, and Engineering to turn BridgeFund's vision into actionable initiatives that create measurable value
• Build scalable datasets, credit and behavioral scoring models, and performance dashboards as part of a productized data platform
• Safeguard data quality, governance, and documentation in close collaboration with Compliance and Risk
• Measure impact through experimentation, AB testing, and performance tracking
• Communicate clearly with teams and leadership to make complex data concepts simple, visible, and actionable

Do you have experience in Product management?, You like solving hard problems with smart people. You know that great data products aren't built in theory, they're built in production, one release at a time.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in product management or data product ownership.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, analytics and machine learning (ETL or ELT, APIs, data warehouses, streaming).
• Skilled in roadmap creation, prioritization and stakeholder management using agile methodologies.
• Ability to bridge technical and business domains, fluent in both data and impact.
• Proven track record of delivering data products with measurable business value.
• Clear communicator who can simplify complexity and align teams around outcomes.
• Experience with financial data, credit risk or regulated environments is a plus., * roadmap creation, priotization & stakeholder management: 3 years (Required)
