Job description
You will join the Personalise Web Team in Amsterdam. This team builds the web-based editors that let our global customers create personalized photo products. We need an experienced technical leader to define and champion the frontend architecture for this platform. You will ensure we deliver a scalable, intuitive, and high-performance user experience, balancing technical health with our ambitious business goals. You will deeply influence the technical direction and drive frontend excellence across the team., * Define and push the technical standards for an excellent, high-performance Online Editor.
- Lead the technical design on complex projects, such as optimizing global delivery via CloudFront.
- Coach frontend engineers on best practices in the software development lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement for key metrics like user experience and page load speed.
- Track and improve the technical health of your team's frontend codebase.
- Contribute to the team's overall strategy, roadmap, and core objectives., * You deliver a scalable, reliable web editor that delights our global customer base.
- You ensure a high-quality frontend codebase through rigorous technical design and mentorship.

Requirements
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining robust, scalable frontend web applications.
- Proven ability to lead technical architecture discussions and influence technical strategy.
- Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, and component-based architecture.
- Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization and accessibility (a11y) principles.
- Experience mentoring and coaching other frontend engineers.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, testing practices, and version control (e.g., Git).
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical people., * Experience designing scalable architectures for web editors or similar interactive applications.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and/or a range of AWS services beyond S3 and CloudFront.
- A formal education in a STEM field like Computer Science.
