Lead technical discovery sessions with C-level executives and engineering teams to understand business requirements, payment architecture needs, and growth objectives

Design and architect payment solutions leveraging PayPal's Complete Payments Platform (PPCP), Braintree, Hyperwallet, and emerging products like Fastlane and JS SDK v6

Guide platform partners through complex integrations including Connected Path implementations, sub-merchant onboarding, and multi-party payment orchestration

Represent the technical voice of the customer in product design reviews, roadmap planning sessions, and cross-functional initiatives to influence PayPal's product development

Conduct technical audits of partner implementations using PayPal's observability tools to optimize performance, conversion rates, and authorization success

Collaborate with internal teams including Global Product Services, Product Management, Engineering, and InfoSec to resolve escalations and deliver comprehensive solutions

Develop technical documentation, integration guides, and TechPlans to support partner success and scale knowledge across the organization

Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience., * 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as solutions consultant, solutions architect, or sales engineer for a global payments or fintech enterprise
- Executive engagement skills with proven ability to establish credibility with C-level decision makers and technical leaders, confidently leading strategic discussions and workshops
- Deep understanding of payment processing fundamentals including authorization flows, settlement, tokenization, 3DS authentication, and regulatory compliance (PSD2, SCA)
- Expertise in RESTful APIs, webhook architecture, and integration patterns across diverse technology stacks (ERP, CRM, e-commerce platforms)
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, API-first architectures, and cloud-based SaaS delivery models
- Outstanding communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent organizational & project management skills to manage multiple strategic opportunities simultaneously, balancing competing priorities across enterprise accounts
- Experience with payment platforms and marketplace models, including familiarity with sub-merchant structures, split payments, and platform economics
- Proven track record driving technical sales cycles with enterprise platforms, supporting their unique requirements and custom integrations
- Self-motivated learner who proactively stays current with payment industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience as a domain expert in the payments space, specifically with platform payments, marketplace solutions, or payment orchestration
- (optional) Prior hands-on experience with PayPal, Braintree, Stripe, Adyen, Checkout, Mollie or Klarna integrations in production environments
- Background in systems design, building and deploying complex distributed applications at scale
- Technical knowledge of payment gateway architectures, tokenization services, and fraud prevention systems
- Experience with BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) products and analytics solutions
- Familiarity with payment industry certifications and standards (PCI DSS, EMVCo)
- Multilingual capabilities (German, French, Spanish, or Italian) to support EU markets
- Strategic and creative problem-solver who maintains a positive, solution-oriented approach when facing ambiguous challenges
- Track record of influencing product development and advocating for customer needs within a product organization
- Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Account Management
