Senior Systems Engineer

Copello are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a growing team delivering cutting-edge projects within the UK Defence and Security sector. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to technically challenging and meaningful programmes that make a real difference to national capability.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role across the systems lifecycle, from requirements definition and design through to verification and validation. You'll work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and customers to ensure solutions are delivered to a high technical standard., * Develop and manage system requirements using IBM DOORS or similar tools.

• Contribute to system design, integration, and verification activities.
• Produce clear and concise technical documentation and design artefacts.
• Support design reviews, stakeholder meetings, and technical workshops.
• Apply systems engineering best practice in line with defence standards.
• Collaborate across disciplines including software, hardware, and safety teams.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Systems Engineering role, ideally within Defence, Aerospace, or a regulated engineering environment.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
• Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and V-model.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Eligible to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance

Salary: £48,000-£52,000 plus package. Security Clearance: Sole British Nationals only - due to the nature of projects, candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
