Job description

We're looking for a Retainer Project Manager (role TBC) to take ownership of the delivery and organisation of our retainer accounts.

You'll act as the client-facing lead for retainers: keeping communication clear, ensuring tasks are scheduled and delivered, and ensuring our clients feel supported. We're looking for someone proactive in managing accounts, actively taking the time to review sites on retainers and reacting to challenges and opportunities. You won't need to be an SEO or CRO specialist yourself, but an understanding of what effective delivery looks like is vital. You'll work closely with freelancers and our team to get things done, whether that's content updates, site improvements, or optimisation projects.

This is perfect for someone who loves keeping clients happy, staying organised, and managing digital workflows., * Serve as the day-to-day contact for retainer clients

  • Manage requests, brief tasks, and track delivery via PM tools
  • Coordinate with freelancers and our in-house team
  • Schedule regular check-ins with clients (weekly and monthly)
  • Deliver monthly updates and reporting (with input from specialists)
  • Anticipate client needs and suggest proactive improvements
  • Escalate opportunities for upsell or scope increase to directors

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a project management or account management role (agency experience ideal)
  • Strong organisational skills, with experience using PM tools (e.g. Productive, Asana, Trello, etc.)
  • Excellent client-facing communication - quick, clear, and proactive
  • Ability to juggle multiple small projects and clients at once
  • Understanding of digital projects (websites, SEO, content, CRO), enough to brief and QA
  • Comfortable coordinating freelancers and managing budgets/time allocations
  • Commercially aware - spotting risks, opportunities, and ways to add value
