Job description
As one of our Senior Implementation Consultants you will be responsible for ensuring that key relationships with our clients are developed and maintained, assisting them from project inception to 'go live'.
You'll gather customer requirements by liaising with business teams to produce the right specifications, before configuring our product to meet the needs of our clients and managing the full development cycle and subsequent implementation. You will be integral to delivering the projects that you are working on.
Our environment is highly collaborative; therefore, you will find yourself being asked to help design solutions as often as you will ask for help yourself. At its heart this is a technical role, however, analysis and communication skills are critical to understanding the business requirements and taking a lead role in delivering the solution.
A typical day would involve a variety of activities, involving the whole lifecycle of a project. The role will suit someone who enjoys working with both business and technical teams, in a fast, dynamic environment, and who is naturally relationship driven and passionate about meeting our client's needs. Some of what you'll be doing:
- Provide expert guidance to clients throughout project delivery, from requirements gathering to solution implementation.
- Design, configure, build, and test technical solutions ensuring high-quality documentation and best practices.
- Ensure solution design and configuration quality, oversee coding standards, code reviews, and project test strategies.
- Lead demos, manage releases, and resolve technical issues, acting as an escalation point when needed.
- Intervene in significant or persistent issues, developing effective plans to resolve challenges and instil best practices.
- Communicate proactively with clients, project managers, and technical teams, keeping stakeholders informed and concerns addressed.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive team culture by mentoring peers and encouraging knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with programming (preferably in object-oriented languages - C#, C++, Java, Python), relational databases (preferably SQL Server), and XML.
- Elements of the software are designed to allow users to transfer Excel skills; so, a good knowledge of Excel or Access would be beneficial.
- Relevant experience in a customer-facing role gained with a software solutions organization would be highly desirable.
