IS Solution Architect

You will be working as IS Solution Architect and will be part of Motion Business Area for BA Function Finance division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to IS Service Owner-ERP Finance & Controlling and will be responsible for software solution architecture across several architecture categories and ensuring it is in line with enterprise and data architecture standards. Responsible for designing and building, integrity and quality of an IS solution and associated IS services delivered to business. Managing or monitoring software development and analyzing data to continuous improving solutions. Collaborating and contributing to project setup and delivery as well as to service operations optimization.

Your responsibilities

• Accountable for AMEA region and the technical, functional landscape under finance, including technical and functional integration, full end to end process coverage in a multi-country solution and collaborating with all other ERP functions, non-ERP domains to provide high value solutions
• Analyzing to decide which requirements are covered by available, standard functionalities for enhancement are needed and for which functionality workarounds are accepted. Supporting, validating and prioritizing of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS service manager
• Contributing within development team for delivering application change, performing design, code reviews and overseeing overall technical solution delivery within subject domain and scope of application responsibility
• Collaborating with users in projects and problem management for maintaining, developing and deploying the best feasible and most cost efficient IS solutions for the business and giving advice
• Supporting the installation, management, maintaining and optimizing of all IS processes related to the area of responsibility. Providing guidance to IS project management and IS delivery unit teams on how to utilize IS application or solution standards effectively. Contributing to IS problem and IS incident management goals to address ticket volume by detecting re-occurring defects and eliminating
• Proactively supporting issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays and providing support to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion
• Working with functional analyst to understand business and functional requirements. Translating functional requirements into modern, consistent application architecture and delivering end-to-end solution delivery. Providing guidance to developers in implementing the designed solutions and contributing to solution delivery

• Bachelor's in Finance or Computer Science or preferred CA/ICWA/CS
• Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP FICO in finance related activities with strong controlling experience
• Understanding of SAP integration points with other modules and overall end-to-end business processes
• Experience in overhead costing, cost object controlling, product costing (MTO, MTS, ETO) and COPA. Experience in new revenue recognition methods, management of projects, enhancements, changes involving testing, problem identification, resolution and data migration
• Communicating effectively with local, global, cross-divisional and global virtual teams
• Must have strong analytical skills and experience of identifying and resolving issues between team members
