Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised indirect IT Category Manager to join our team. As an IT procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in streamlining our IT procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and strategic sourcing. You will collaborate with various departments to understand various IT requirements, including Digital Marketing, evaluate supplier options, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services., Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software, including Digital Marketing, SaaS, and services.
- Maintain a forward-looking IT category plan aligned with business and technology roadmaps.
Innovation & Value Creation
- Apply a strategic mindset to identify and implement innovative procurement solutions that enhance our IT capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement and challenge the status quo to unlock new opportunities.
Savings Delivery & Financial Insight
- Demonstrate strong understanding of savings types (e.g. cost avoidance, cost reduction, value-add).
- Track and report savings performance against targets, ensuring alignment with finance and budget owners.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and other departments to define requirements and priorities.
- Support cross-functional initiatives such as Order Management Systems, Legal Management Systems, and Source-to-Contract platforms.
Supplier & Contract Management
- Lead supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract finalisation.
- Manage service levels, performance reviews, and risk mitigation strategies.
Sustainability & Compliance
- Promote ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT procurement within a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Experience in Digital/Performance Marketing contracts.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Deep understanding of procurement levers and savings methodologies.
- Skilled in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Familiarity with procurement systems and analytics tools.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
