Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of the groups IT assets. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, managing procurement and disposal processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimising asset utilisation to reduce costs and minimise risks.
This exciting new role is yours to make your own, implement a new Asset Management Tool, whilst forging processes and relationships in an already thriving retail industry., * Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, licenses) from procurement through retirement.
- Inventory Control: Maintain an up-to-date and accurate inventory of all IT assets using asset management tools.
- Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and vendors to source, track, and receive IT hardware and software.
- License Management: Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and manage renewals, audits, and upgrades.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Data Analysis: Analyse asset usage and trends to optimise purchases and reduce unnecessary expenditures whilst accurately forecasting for the group.
- Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
- Disposal Management: Manage end-of-life asset disposal processes, ensuring secure data destruction and environmentally responsible recycling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Finance, Security, and other departments to align asset management with business objectives, and decommissions.
Requirements
Do you have experience in ServiceNow?, * Mid level experience in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT asset management, IT procurement, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of asset management tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, Ivanti, Certero).
- Familiarity with ITIL, SAM (Software Asset Management), and HAM (Hardware Asset Management) best practices.
- Experience with software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
- Software Asset Management Certification
