Job description
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure and DevOps), you won't just be maintaining systems, you'll be a key architect of our future infrastructure landscape. Working alongside Technical Architects and Principal Engineers, you'll design, maintain and upgrade our infrastructure, tackling challenges head on and ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Designing and implementing new services to meet the evolving needs of the Cabinet Office.
- Be a crucial point of escalation for our Live Service, diving deep into root cause analysis and finding effective solutions.
- Guiding and mentoring junior engineers, creating a collaborative and growth oriented team environment.
- Managing and supporting our AWS cloud environment, including deploying new services via code.
- Maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure servers (Linux and Windows), with primary focus on the Linux servers.
- Working with cutting edge cloud technologies, contributing to the migration of existing systems and the implementation of innovative new solutions.
- Integrating and improving our existing processing systems to enhance performance.
- Maintaining the integrity, availability, performance and capacity of our infrastructure.
- Carrying out change control activities with precision and documenting our infrastructure.
