Job description
As Accurx has become the go-to communication software in healthcare, we have a responsibility to build a reliable platform that can be scaled for both internal and external users. As a Senior Platform Engineer at Accurx, your role will go beyond moving technical initiatives forward; you will help shape the future of the Platform at Accurx.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will drive the Platform team's technical initiatives forward as an individual contributor, collaborating with Product Engineers across the business and supporting less experienced Platform engineers as needed.

- Work closely with other engineers in the Platform Team to share knowledge and collaborate on Platform engineering solutions
- Continue to scale and develop the platform to keep up with the latest tooling, security, and system design practices
- Collaborate with Product Engineers to deliver engineering-wide initiatives
- Uphold Platform engineering standards and best practices
- Work with the Engineering Manager to help define the Platform roadmap
- Participate in the Platform Team's regular on-call rota
- Participate in all hiring activities within the Platform Team as needed
- Lead projects both in technical implementation and delivery of outcomes

Requirements
- You have experience enabling product engineers to build products at scale as a DevOps engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Platform/Cloud Engineer, or as a software engineer who has championed DevOps culture
- You have experience developing and deploying in a public cloud environment, such as Azure, AWS or GCP (we use Azure)
- You have experience working with distributed systems (we use Kubernetes)
- You have experience with infrastructure as code
- You have experience managing monitoring and alerting systems
- You have experience working with CI
- You have experience with a programming language - bonus if you have experience in C# or another object-oriented language
- You are proficient in version control systems such as Git
