Job description
- Responsible for complex signal performance modelling using COMSOL for R&D and Operational planning.
- Review and develop techniques in the modelling process to improve accuracy and ensure simulations reflect real world performance
- Generate reports and present signal performance model results
- Where possible, create standalone applications for specific models.
- Ensure that all local and Metrol Safety procedures are adhered to at all times at all locations.
- Take part in internal and external training, seminars and client meetings as required.
- Carry out specific work-related tasks for Operations & Technical departments.
Requirements
Matlab, Comsol, Well Construction, Life Insurance, Timelines, Electrical Theory, Excel, Python, * BSc or Beng (Hons) in relevant Science or Engineering discipline
- Experience with multi-physics modelling, ideally using COMSOL. Knowledge of AC/DC COMSOL modules preferable.
- Understanding of Electrical theory
- MATLAB and Python experience
- Expert with Excel
- Ideally, understanding of well construction
- Project orientated with experience of working to timelines and meeting deadlines Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

The successful candidate will be involved in performance modelling and simulating of Metrol wireless telemetry systems used in downhole oil/gas wells and to provide system parameters to Operations department.
