Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced BMS Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of Building Management Systems across multiple large-scale projects. This role sits at the heart of the project delivery team, ensuring that the BMS function, from design through commissioning, is seamlessly aligned with mechanical, electrical, and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for BMS coordination, strategy, and delivery through Stage 4 design to commissioning and handover.
Define and manage a clear RACI framework for all BMS activities.
Act as the primary interface between BMS vendors, commissioning teams, and M&E project leads.
Oversee third-party reviews, system validation, and early vendor engagement (e.g. Honeywell, Siemens, Trend).
Provide technical assurance and ensure BMS designs maintain continuity from earlier design stages.
Lead weekly BMS coordination meetings, tracking progress and resolving interface challenges.
Requirements
Proven background managing BMS delivery within major building or infrastructure projects.
Strong technical understanding of BMS architecture, control strategies, and system integration.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and commissioning disciplines.
Experience liaising with BMS manufacturers and integrators (e.g. Honeywell, Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens).
Ability to interpret project documentation including specifications, control philosophies, and I/O schedules.
Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
