Job description

As IT COE Solution Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining IT applications and technical architecture components that meet business requirements. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with the company's strategy and deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will lead specific workstreams within larger programs, resolve defects and performance issues, and manage the full application lifecycle-from implementation to retirement. For the value realization the daily collaboration with expert colleagues and partners will be a key factor.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you are responsible for designing and developing IT solutions that meet business needs, while ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of applications. You work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance to external partners and coordinating with the Run team to guarantee operational readiness.

You conduct and document system and service testing, and actively support the integration of new systems and technologies. Your approach to projects is collaborative and proactive, contributing to the growth of team accountability. You also play a key role in encouraging business stakeholders and IT colleagues to respect and adopt the standard solutions, models, and processes defined by the company.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you hold a degree in Information Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field, and have at least three years of experience working with MES and legacy systems in industrial or manufacturing environments. You're familiar with integrating MES with ERP systems like SAP, SCADA, PLCs, and IoT platforms using protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, REST, and SOAP.

You have solid skills in relational databases (e.g. SQL Server), programming languages like C#, Java or .NET, and scripting tools such as JavaScript. Experience with cloud-based MES architectures (Azure, AWS), edge computing, and SAP modules (DMC, BTP, MII, PCO) is a plus.

You bring an object-oriented mindset, the ability to lead and support team members, and a proactive approach to translating business needs into technical solutions. You're curious about new technologies, open to international travel, and fluent in both Italian and English
