Software developer (AI/Computer Vision)

We are seeking a Software Developer with hands-on experience deploying Computer Vision systems in real environments. The role focuses on developing data pipelines, training object detection models, and deploying inference workloads on edge devices via AWS IoT., * Develop and maintain Python-based computer vision pipelines

• Prepare and curate datasets for training and evaluation
• Train and fine-tune YOLO / Ultralytics models
• Conduct research to improve image processing accuracy under various environmental conditions
• Deploy, update, and monitor models on edge devices using AWS Greengrass and IoT Core
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate vision systems into our cloud-based platform
• Diagnose issues across data ingestion, inference and edge deployment

Do you have experience in Software deployment?, * Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages

• Experience with image processing libraries such as OpenCV
• Experience with YOLO / Ultralytics and dataset preparation workflows
• Understanding of object detection metrics, validation and dataset balance
• Ability to debug systems across multiple components
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable working in Linux environments

Desirable

• Experience with Roboflow or similar dataset management platforms
• CI/CD using GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with AWS IoT Core, S3, CloudWatch, Greengrass, and MQTT
• Experience with .NET

We are ideally looking for someone to be based in the office (Nantwich, Cheshire), but are happy to consider remote working for the right candidate.
