Job description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Technical team based in Broxburn. In this role you will report to our Technical Manager and be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance within our production environment., As Quality Assurance Technician, your key duties will include:
- Carry out regular quality and compliance checks throughout production (including dispatch, label, temperature, and CCP checks)
- Follow the testing schedule to ensure all chemical and microbiological samples are taken and sent to the lab on time
- Perform start-up checks before production to ensure factory readiness and hygiene standards
- Conduct calibration checks on monitoring equipment
- Identify and record any non-conforming products and work with production teams to resolve issues
- Support site teams in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice and hygiene standards
Requirements
Do you have experience in Quality assurance?, Do you have a GCSE?, * Previous experience in the meat or food manufacturing industry is helpful, but not essential - full training will be given
- A positive, proactive approach and strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and confidence working in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite)
- Committed to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement, * Quality assurance: 1 year (required)
Benefits & conditions
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, start time 05:00pm, end time 13:30pm (rotation with start 06:00pm, end 15:00pm) 37.5hrs per week. This position is permanent and fully onsite.
Hourly rate is £12.30 per hour and paid weekly. This will increase with training and experience., Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
