Job description

Are you a hands-on data engineer/analytics specialist who turns complex and evolving data into trusted business insight? Join Parker Aerospace's Motion, Power & Sensing Division and help turn data into decisions that power mission-critical actuators, power systems and sensors for aerospace and defence. This is an internal facing opportunity, suited for someone looking to collaborate across functions and influence key initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, build and operate ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion flows
  • Author and optimise high-performance SQL (queries, views, stored procedures)
  • Build, deploy and maintain Power BI data models and reports (DAX, modelling, performance tuning)
  • Automate data transformations and orchestration with Python and scheduling tools
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues, implement validation checks and document data lineage
  • Run short POCs on new tools (e.g., Alteryx) and recommend improvements to the analytics stack
  • Contribute to CI/CD practices for analytics and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software deployment?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience

  • 4+ years in data engineering, technical analytics or similar with end-to-end delivery responsibility
  • Strong Power BI experience (data modelling, DAX, workspace deployment)
  • Advanced SQL skills, including optimisation and stored procedures
  • Practical Python experience for ETL, automation and data processing
  • Comfortable with data governance, documentation and data-lineage practices
  • A detail-oriented problem solver with a quality mindset
  • A proactive tech-watcher who pilots and shares new tools
  • Understanding the importance of getting it right the first time
  • A clear communicator who can explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative team player who supports and mentors colleagues

Ideally, you will also have

  • Alteryx Designer (or similar), Azure data platform (ADF, ADLS, Synapse, Databricks), CI/CD for analytics (Azure DevOps, Git), familiarity with semantic layers and analytics modelling patterns
  • Multinational experience
  • ERP Knowledge - SAP
