Job description

I'm on the lookout for a Senior Ruby Developer to join my client on a 6-month contract, with the potential to step into a technical lead role. You'll be working on a high-impact project, contributing to backend development and helping shape the technical direction of the product.

This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and DevOps specialists. You'll be expected to take ownership of features, mentor junior developers, and bring best practices to the table., * Lead and contribute to backend development using Ruby on Rails

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions
Participate in architectural decisions and code reviews
Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments
Ensure high code quality and performance across the system
Help guide the team with technical leadership and mentoring

Requirements

5+ years of experience with Ruby/Rails in production environments
Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, AWS, Terraform, etc.)
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, background jobs, and database optimization
Experience working in agile teams and mentoring developers
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
