Job description

Its Security Advisory team sits at the core of the organisation's Cyber Defence practice, helping clients build secure, compliant and resilient cloud environments. Working across Azure and AWS, the team designs cloud security architectures, performs risk assessments and drives secure cloud transformation for enterprise and public sector customers., As a Senior Cloud Security Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them assess, strengthen and optimise their cloud security posture. You will lead cloud security reviews, design secure architectures and advise on governance, compliance and risk, ensuring that cloud adoption and innovation happen safely and strategically. You will also collaborate with internal SOC, Engineering and Governance teams to ensure alignment between architecture, detection and operations., * Leading cloud security consultancy engagements across Microsoft Azure and AWS

  • Conducting cloud security posture assessments, architecture reviews and gap analyses

  • Designing and documenting secure cloud architectures aligned with NCSC, CIS and ISO 27001 frameworks

  • Advising clients on identity, access management, encryption, monitoring and network security

  • Leading workshops to define cloud security strategy, governance models and control frameworks

  • Supporting incident response and remediation activities related to cloud environments

  • Collaborating with SOC and Engineering teams to strengthen detection, telemetry and visibility

  • Providing compliance guidance aligned to ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials Plus and NHS DSPT

  • Mentoring junior consultants and contributing to the development of cloud security methodologies

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of experience in cloud security consulting, architecture or engineering

  • Deep technical understanding of Azure and AWS security services, controls and architecture design

  • Proven experience delivering cloud security assessments and secure cloud solution design

  • Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring and incident response in cloud environments

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty and other native tools

  • Experience applying frameworks such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001 and CSA CCM

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business needs

  • Experience supporting clients in regulated industries such as Finance, Healthcare or Public Sector

  • Understanding of hybrid connectivity, zero trust architecture and secure cloud migration

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD security and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM or CloudFormation

  • Multi cloud exposure including GCP
