Job description

As a SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Developer you would Design, build and deploy SAP objects across multiple workstreams ensuring best practices are being followed. This will involve working with our partners and other areas of the business as appropriate. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned SAP Engineer to step up and work on a significant Programme and support building the SAP team from the ground up.

With over 80 application consumers of customer data across the Society we require an experienced SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Developer to join our growing team of developers., You will design, develop, and maintain custom SAP applications whilst provide technical expertise at stages of the delivery lifecycle, including providing technical leadership and consultancy to stakeholders. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team to help build our development process and strategies., Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. Requirements

Do you have experience in SAP S/4HANA?, At minimum you will have:

  • Proven experience delivering SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) developments in complex environments
  • Strong SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) development experience; experience with ABAP OO, ABAP Dictionary (DDIC), Reports, Enhancements, BADI, BAPI, RFCs, and ALV Reports
  • Skilled in developing Gateway OData Services and CDS Views
  • Experience working with and developing solutions that span both on-premise and cloud hosted technologies
  • Solid understanding of S/4HANA architecture and modern integration patterns, specifically using REST APIs
  • Proven ability to manage and lead small technical teams, comfortable with design discussions and technical decision making
